About Me

I grew up in Northwest Iowa where most of my life my Father has served as a police officer and my Mother has worked at her family-owned small business.

I moved to Sioux City in 2005 to attend Morningside College where I graduated with a degree in political science and global history. I then went on to Creighton University to obtain my Masters in negotiation and dispute resolution. After graduate school I went to Washington DC where I completed an internship with the US Department of Education. I then returned to Northwest Iowa in 2011 where I worked in Woodbury County as a Field Organizer for the President’s re-election campaign, Organizing for America.

I currently work at Morningside College teaching conflict resolution, in addition to working with the administration to increase our students' civic engagement by working with area nonprofits to expand their opportunities for experiential learning. In June I will transition to my new role as an advisor for first-year students attending Morningside College. I recently bought my first home in the Morningside neighborhood and truly appreciate being a part of this community.

I am involved in and serve on the boards of several area nonprofits including: Leadership Siouxland, Mary Treglia Community House, Sioux City Growth Organization, Blue Zones, and Young Professionals of Iowa. I am excited to continue my commitment to community service by representing Woodbury County on its Board of Supervisors.
